Health and safety costs are essential business expenditure that can be claimed back by businesses as legitimate expenses. Investing in a health and safety advisory service not only enhances workplace safety and compliance but also provides short and longer term financial benefits. By proactively managing health and safety, businesses can mitigate risks and liabilities later down the line, which could otherwise lead to higher operational costs or legal penalties. Moreover, health and safety costs are typically tax-deductible, making them a prudent investment that supports both the wellbeing of employees and the financial health of the business.
The definition of “advice” for the purposes of the advice line constitutes to providing a professional opinion in the form of information and/or recommendations, based on any health and safety matters (questions, queries or other issues) received from the “client”. The provision of advice will be in accordance with any relevant legislation. In addition to the provision of advice, subscribing companies may list SafetyRAC as their “competent persons” under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999. The subscription service does not extend to the development of specific safe systems of work or other solutions, which (upon request) can be costed separately.
